The father of slain girl, Mr. Wilfred Nwovueze, who was killed in Port Harcourt by her boyfriend, Prince Owabie, insists the suspect must marry her corpse. The victim’s father has insisted that Prince Owabie aka J-BOY, the suspected killer of his pregnant daughter, Betty Nwovueze, must marry her corpse. He told reporters on Thursday that the marriage is in line with a compulsory traditional rites of Ndele people in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State where the deceased was from. He said: "I don’t want any problem. That girl is my daughter and what I want the Police to do is to allow this J-Boy of a man or his family members to marry my daughter before they bury her. All the rites that are due any girl of marriageable age in my community will be done so that there will be no calamity." Also sacked were adjunct lecturers of the school who have over-stayed in the university. Most of the staff sacked were said to have obtained their West African School Certificate Examination (WAEC) before their First School Leaving Certificate. They were also said to have falsified their age, certificates and other relevant credentials. Their sack followed audit report submitted by a committee set up to verify credentials of workers of the institution. There were reports that over 300 persons were affected by the sack, but the management of the institution stated that only 63 were dismissed. Yesterday, the men of the Rivers State Police Command, exhumed the decomposing corpse of a woman allegedly murdered by her lover in Rumuepirikom, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state. The woman identified as Better Ozige Nwabueze who was said to have been in a relationship with one Prince Udenna Uwabie, also known as J-Boy, was buried in her lover’s room after she was allegedly killed on Sunday, December 2, 2018. According to reports, J-Boy and his lover had a disagreement after he accused her of having an affair with another man. It was observed that a large crowd had gathered around 10 am on Thursday at a house located along Wimpey, Ikwerre Road in Port Harcourt, where the deceased was buried, to witness the exhumation of the corpse by the police. The suspect had since been arrested and is helping the police in their investigation and would soon be charged to court.

A young man identified as Adigun Olawale Emmanuel, 27, reportedly committed suicide at Oke Odo Area of Ilorin , Kwara State. Rumor had it that the deceased was a spill over student of one of Nigeria’s notable university and he was found dead in his room on Saturday. Rumor had it that Adigun Lock himself up in his room on Thursday 29th of November, drank some portion of snipers and it was the bad smell coming from his room that alerted the neighbors on Saturday before they discover his swollen dead body laying on the floor.
