The construction of President Muhamadu Buhari Glass Tunnel is on the move at Ebonyi State-Abakaliki. Constructed by H.E. Engr (Chief) Dave Nweze Umahi The Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, under the direct supervision of the Honorable Commissioner of Works & Transport Engr. Nweze Fidelis Kings. For the very first time in Africa, we will have a Roundabout in Top of covered glass flyover. The project has a huge environmental impact by reducing the traffic at Akanu Ibiam roundabout area; and serve as the Main Entrance of Rice City Mega Mall and Ecumenical Center as well. The project has 6 Proposed Flyovers that lead to the gates and 1 Pedestrian over head bridge. The Foundation Stone for the above mentioned projects has been laid by His Excellency Muhamadu Buhari the President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria on November 2017.

Saraki Reacts As EFCC Seizes His Houses, Marks Others In Lagos

Senate president, Saraki reacts as Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over the seizure of some of his residential houses located in the Ikoyi area of Lagos. The EFCC is investigating Saraki’s earnings during his time as governor of Kwara state. Saraki governed the state between 2003 and 2011 before proceeding to the senate. Only 10 Nigerian States Economically Viable, 17 Bankrupt [see Details]

The Economic Confidential on Sunday released its Annual States Viability Index (ASVI) report. It showed that 17 States are insolvent as their Internally Generated Revenues (IGR) in 2018 were far below 10% of their receipts from the Federation Account Allocations (FAA) in the same year. The index declared that without the monthly disbursement from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), many states remain unviable, and cannot survive without the federally collected revenue, mostly from the oil sector. The IGR are generated by states through Pay-As-You-Earn Tax (PAYE), Direct Assessment, Road Taxes and revenues from Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). The IGR of the 36 states of the federation totalled N1.1 trillion in 2018 as compared to N931 billion in 2018, an increase of N172 billion.
